  • Coaching is a partnership that demands your active participation. You’ll have assignments between sessions that may challenge you to think in different ways. You’ll only get out of coaching what you put into it, so make sure you’re prepared to fully commit to the process.

  • All of my coaching packages are customized to fit the individual needs of each client. They all include various assessments, a wide array of continuously updated job search resources, and access to me between sessions. Your total investment will depend on how many sessions will be needed to achieve your goals. I'll give you an estimate at the end of our initial consultation.

  • After a long career in recruiting, I was craving an opportunity to make a more meaningful impact. When I discovered career coaching, I immediately knew I’d found my calling! The personal rewards and positive client feedback on the Success Stories page on my website echo the fulfillment I find in this work. I wish I'd discovered it earlier!

  • While similar in nature, there are also significant differences. Career coaches start by understanding a client’s current situation and then follow an action-oriented, future-focused approach, empowering them to become the architects of their own careers.

In contrast, career counseling often involves a more directive approach, reflecting on past experiences to guide future career choices. In that way, it’s often better suited for students and recent grads.

  • Working with a career coach is like having a GPS for your career journey and the results can be transformational and include:

    1. Identify New Career Options: Discover career options you may not have otherwise been aware of that spark your interest.

    2. Confidence Builder: Boost your confidence when you’re in a career funk or struggling with a job search

    3. Elevate Your Brand: Craft a dynamic professional brand that enables you to stand out from your peers.

    4. Networking Power: Cultivate a thriving network that opens doors for career advancement.

    5. Interview Mastery: Ace interviews with tailored strategies that position you as the top candidate.

    6. Negotiate More Confidently and optimize your earning potential.

  • Here are a few things to consider:

    • Don’t worry about location: Technology, especially video conferencing, enables coaches to work with clients in any part of the country. My clients come from all over the U.S., and the same is true for most independent coaches.

    • Experience: Is their background, training, and coaching philosophy aligned with your needs?

    • Focus on the relationship: To get the most out of coaching, choose someone you are comfortable talking with openly and honestly about your challenges.

    • What’s their ‘why?’ Ask them why they became a coach. Their backstory could provide valuable insight.

    • They ‘get’ you: Make sure they have experience with people like yourself. Ask for examples of how they've helped people in similar situations overcome challenges similar to the ones you're facing.

    • Availability between sessions: Your coach should be available between sessions at no additional charge (within certain parameters) for brief conversations, either by phone, email, or text message.

    • They offer a test drive: Your coach should offer an initial complimentary coaching session to give you a feel for how they work and assess whether they’re a good fit for you.

    • Customized approach: In coaching, one size does not fit all. Your coach’s approach and the resources they use should be tailored to your individual needs.

    • Comfort with their coaching style: Your coach is your partner. The best ones show a high degree of curiosity, ask powerful questions, listen intently, and make you feel fully supported.

    • They fit your budget: Coaching is an investment in your future. Don't skimp, but avoid stressing yourself financially. Most coaches charge between $75 and $300 per hour, and sometimes even more.

  • I’ll ask lots of questions, actively listen, and share observations, insights, best practices, and resources, all with a full commitment to your best interests and respect for your confidentiality.

After each session, I won't walk away and forget about you until the next time we meet. For every hour we spend together, I spend significant time behind the scenes taking steps to ensure you’re getting exceptional value for your investment— updating exercises to make sure they’re tailored to your individual needs, reviewing whatever you’ve worked on between sessions, responding to your emails, planning next steps, and conducting check-in calls.

My goal is to maximize the impact of coaching in your life, not maximize your time with me. I’ll be fully present with you, listen deeply, and work in a focused and deliberate way, all with the goal of helping you take control of your career and life.
